1964 Darrel 2025

Darrel Dean Egbert

June 23, 1964 — October 16, 2025

Darrel Dean Egbert passed away unexpectedly on October 16, 2025, in Draper, Utah, after living courageously with congestive heart failure.

Born on June 23, 1964, in Pocatello, Idaho, Darrel grew up alongside his brothers Dave Duval, Leonard Duval, and Mike Egbert. He learned early to work hard, stand his ground, and look out for others. After attending Murray High School, he joined Job Corps, where he built the strong work ethic that would define his life.

Darrel spent many years as a local truck driver—a job that fit his independence and steady hands behind the wheel. After a work-related injury forced his retirement, he never lost his love for the open road. He enjoyed working on cars, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. An outdoorsman at heart, he loved camping, fishing, hunting, and time with his dogs.

Those who knew Darrel will remember his creativity, humor, and heart. He was generous in spirit—always willing to help, give, or share what he had. Loyal to his friends and devoted to those he loved, Darrel lived with honesty and heart every step of the way.

He is survived by his sons, Brandon Paul Reeves and Cody Egbert; his best friend Donna Lindsey; his wife Sandra Egbert; brothers Dave Duval, Leonard Duval, and Mike Egbert; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He reunites in heaven with his mother Dora “Lee” Owen; nephew Lee; Brandon’s brother Nathan; his mom Penny; friends Lyle and Bruce; and his beloved dogs Koa, Chopper, Harley, and Baby Girl.

Darrel’s legacy lives on through his family and friends—in the stories, laughter, and love they carry forward.

A wake will be held at his home once his remains have been returned.
