Corliss Adele Clayton

Corliss Adele Clayton, 75, died October 2, 2026 in Farmington, Utah, her allotted time in this world over.

She was born August 22, 1951, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Archer Robert Clayton and Wanda Pack Clayton, the youngest of five children.

She was an active member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life, including a mission to the Buenos Aires Argentina North Mission. Professionally, she worked as an editor for the LDS Church, 21 of those years as an editor at The Friend magazine. She tried to always listen to others and to love them. She was very thankful for all the times Heavenly Father blessed her in this life, including giving her dear family members and friends who loved and emotionally supported her.

She is survived by her sisters, Janet Plewe and Susan Rather, Sister-in-laws Julia Clayton and Jeanine Clayton, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Archer Robert Clayton, her mother, Wanda Pack Clayton, her brothers A. Robert Clayton and Richard Clayton, and one niece, Ellen Ann Clayton.

Corliss and her family would like to thank Teriko Barker; Dr. Wayne Ormsby and the staff at Utah Cancer Specialists; her other doctors; and the staff, residents and Steed Creek Branch leadership at Covington Senior Living in Farmington for their care and love.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at the Centerville Chapel, 1298 North 400 West, Centerville, Utah, where a viewing will be held from 9:45-10:45 a.m., prior to services. Interment at the Centerville City Cemetery.
