Conway Dale Worsley

Conway Dale Worsley, 78, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 23, 2022 after struggling with Parkinson’s and dementia. The youngest of five children, Conway was born on September 14, 1943 in Centerville, Utah, to Leo Vernon and Emma LaVon Worsley. He attended Bountiful High School and later served as an LDS missionary in the Northwestern States Mission. On August 12, 1966, he married his eternal companion Shirley Chapman Worsley in the Salt Lake Temple. As an army veteran, he served his time in South Korea during the Vietnam War. After earning an MBA from Utah State University, Conway spent a long career in the purchasing department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Conway raised five children who learned the value of hard work in the family garden and orchard. He had a passion for fishing, and was highly skilled at crafting his own flies. He is survived by his children Craig (Kim) Worsley, Camille (Jed) Shirts, Keri (Jeremy) Rugg, Kyle (Stefanie) Worsley, and Sherlyn (Matt) Myler, as well as 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren with whom he loved playing games and building puzzles. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Shirley, who passed away in 2011. His family would like to thank Camille for her many years of dedicated service in his care. A special thanks goes to his nurse, Carly and the staff from South Davis Home Health and Hospice.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 29 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rowland Way Chapel on 610 North Rowland Way (100 East) in Centerville. A viewing will be held Sunday night at Russon Bountiful Mortuary (295 North Main), from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Monday from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral service. Interment will be at the Centerville Cemetery.
