Connie Roush

Connie Roush, an incredibly strong and loving women, passed away on February 26, 2026. She was born on May 30, 1941, to Ernest and Jesse Turner in Salt Lake City, UT.

She married the love of her life, U Jay Roush, at the age of 17. During their 65 years together, they raised 7 children: Jeffrey Roush, Kevin Roush, Debbie Bennett, Jaylynn Secrist, Steven Roush, Heidi Roush, and Stephanie Burke.

They had many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her grandson Mylo Sanders was her constant companion and caretaker, and she lovingly referred to him as her best friend. He always made sure she had a smile on her face.

Connie loved being a grandmother and took a large role in the upbringing of several of her grandchildren. Later when Connie faced dementia, her grandchildren Brooklyn and Mylo had the opportunity to give back that love and support through caregiving. It was an absolute honor.

Connie lived a full and happy life. She loved horses, soap operas, Diet Coke, and chocolate. She was the toughest woman who always gave everything she had and was the best mother her children could have asked for.

Connie was proceeded in death by her husband, U Jay Roush, brothers Marshel Turner, Johnnie Turner, Larry Turner, and Steve Turner, sons Jeffrey Roush and Kevin Roush, daughter Debra Bennett, grandsons Jeremey Roush and Ethan Burke, and great grandson William Roush.

She is survived by her daughters Jaylynn Secrist, Heidi Roush, Stephanie Burke, and son Steven Roush, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the West Bountiful 2nd Ward, 840 North 800 West, West Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah, and Thursday morning from 9:45-10:45 at the church prior to the service.
