Connie Mae Porter

June 21, 1955 — February 28, 2025

Our beloved wife, mom and grandma passed away at the age of 69 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Connie was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Elmer and Fern Denison. She has 4 older brothers, 1 older sister and 1 younger brother. After returning from a year at Snow College, while attending a young adult holiday social, she met the love of her life, Danny Porter. They were married on April 25, 1975, in the Salt Lake Temple. They started their life in West Valley City where they had 2 children and raised them to adulthood. In 2001 they moved to Kaysville to be closer to family.

Right after Dan and Connie were married, her health struggles began. Throughout her life, she was the recipient of multiple organ donations that prolonged her life and allowed her many years of happiness with her family. We are forever grateful for the sacrifice of those who donated the gift of life. Despite the hardships this placed on her, she never lost her faith in God and her resilient nature. She endured her hardships well and lived her life to the fullest.

Her children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. She never missed a recital, concert, sporting event or special occasion that her 8 grandchildren were involved in. She adored them all and wanted to be involved in every aspect of their life. Although she endured many trials throughout life, it never stopped her from enjoying her journey and spending time with her family.

She had a strong testimony of the atonement, and immense faith in the Plan of Salvation and in her Savior Jesus Christ. This influenced all her decisions in how she lived her life. She passed on her testimony and faith to her children and grandchildren through her valiant example.

Connie leaves behind a loving husband of 49 years, Danny Porter, her two children Pollyanna Barss (Nelson), and Kevin Porter (Angie); her 8 grandchildren, Lexi Pauole (Preston), Andrew Barss, Ryan Porter, Alyssa Porter, Lilly Barss, Ashley Porter, Anna Barss and Tommy Barss; one great-granddaughter Keala Pauole; her 6 siblings and their spouses. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Fern Denison.

She lived fully, laughed often, and loved wholeheartedly, and we will forever be influenced by her love.
