Clarissa Jane Tipton Wagstaff

Clarissa Jane Tipton Wagstaff, Born 6 May 1945 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Chet W. and Florence Gene Kaufman Tipton.  Preceded in death by her parents, brother David Chet Tipton and son Duane Marlon Wagstaff.  She returned to her Father in Heaven and her Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 14, 2021.

Clarissa married Wayne Marlon Wagstaff, the love of her life, on October 26, 1963 in Brigham City, Utah.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Utah Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Their children, Lisa Jane Hitz(Jay); Galen Rex Wagstaff (Cindy); Neil Glen Wagstaff, (Stacey); Bryan Zachariah Wagstaff (Sarah); Amanda Susan Cullison (James); and foster daughter Sarah Joy Lee Neaderhiser (James); two brothers, 18 grandchildren; 11  great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews, all of whom she dearly loves.

Clarissa has served lovingly and faithfully in her church callings, Florida Jacksonville Mission as Secretary to the Mission President, a mission which she didn’t want to leave;  the Genealogy Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, BSA  (Boy Scouts of America), for 16 years; ISDUP (International Society of Daughters of Utah Pioneers) since 1965 and serving as Company President, Captain and started a number of new Camps in the Bountiful area.

She felt  sad to be leaving behind her beloved family, dear friends, neighbors and Church Leaders and expressly asked that they all be thanked for their service to her and her family.  She knew it was “her time to go” to her Maker and to those that have passed before her and are waiting for her.

A viewing will be held at Russon Mortuary, Tuesday February 23rd from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held February 24th at 11 am at the Bountiful Stone Creek Ward, located at 1495 N 300 W, Bountiful Utah, with a viewing starting at 9:45 am before the service.  Following the service the  Interment will be at Memorial Estates 1640 Lakeview Drive, Bountiful Utah.
