Christine “Chris” passed away March 21, 2026 at her home.
She was born on February 14, 1940 in Limoges, France. She was the daughter of Marguerite Lallet.
Chris grew up as an only child; she spent her early years going to school and mastering English by the time she was 8 years old. She often tried out her English on her animals who also became fluent in both French and English.
She spent her summers as a child with her aunt and uncle tending to the many ferrets on their farm, she quickly learned how to grow an impressive garden, a trait she carried on throughout her life. Her gardening skills were impeccable.
She met her husband, Dan, who was stationed with the US Airforce in Chateauroux, France.
They quickly became joined at the hip and were married on February 28, 1959, in Chateauroux, France.
Chris came to the United States in November of 1959 where her and Dan raised their two sons.
Both Chris and Dan were hard workers, together they created a home full of love, not only for their sons but for their grandchildren, who were extremely dear to her, which led to many adventures throughout their young lives. Chris cared for her family; she was generous, loving and kind.
She is survived by her son Sidney; four grandsons, Chad, Shane (Meredith), Trevor and Mitch; 5 great-granddaughters, and one great-grandson; her in-laws, Pat Billis, Sylvia Purdy, Charlotte Andrus and Dexter Bassett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan; her son, Mike; her mother, Marguerite and stepdad Raoul Lallet; sister-in-law, Elenora; brothers-in-law, Lynn and Carl; and her beloved cat, Minou.
