Christine Joanne Clegg Parker 72, passed away peacefully on Sept. 1, 2024, in Bountiful Utah, surrounded by her loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Christine was born Feb. 19, 1952, to loving parents Joseph L Clegg and Edith L Erickson in Spokane Washington. She married the love of her life Michael Parker on Dec. 22, 1974, in the LDS Salt Lake City Temple. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from BYU in Child Development and worked for the School of the Blind for many years, later receiving a master’s in business at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Christine worked at the United States Hill Air Force Base for 25 years, she retired as a Civilian Supervisory Contracting Officer.
Christine was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she was a faithful daughter of God and had an unwavering testimony of the Savior. She lived her life serving those around her; she held many callings of leadership including Relief Society President. She had a love for music, playing the piano and singing. But her greatest accomplishment in this life was her family; she adored her husband, children, grandchildren and siblings, their happiness was her greatest treasure.
She is survived by her loving husband Michael D Parker, and their children Sean (Kathryn), Ryan (Danna), Alan (Heidi), 12 Grandchildren: Connor, Aubrey, Alissa, Olivia, Brandon, Parker, Jackson, Daniel, Adam, Declan, Logan, Bailey. She is also survived by her Siblings: Joseph (Maureen), Janine (Craig), Jared (Janet), Lorine (Craig), Matthew (Leeanne). Christine was preceded in death by her parents, her son Wayne E Parker and granddaughter Shaylee Parker.
A viewing will be held from 9:45-10:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, located at 1350 N. 650 E. Bountiful, Utah, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Graveside service will be held subsequent to the funeral service at the Bountiful City Cemetery, located at 2224 S. 200 W., Bountiful, Utah.
Services will be streamed live on the Russon Mortuary Live Facebook page and on this obituary page. The live stream will begin about 10-15 minutes prior to the service and will be posted below.
