Listen to Obituary

Charlene June Bronson, age 89, peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father, leaving this life enriched by faith, love, and quiet devotion. She was a longtime resident of Bountiful, Utah, and her life was a testament to kindness, learning, and service.

Charlene was born in Elwood, Utah, where her love of learning began early. As a child, she was rarely seen without a book in her hand—a love of reading that stayed with her throughout her life. She also possessed a deep love for music and was an accomplished clarinetist, performing in band tours during her high school and college years. Gifted not only in mind and talent, Charlene was also known for her beauty, having been crowned Miss Peach Queen.

As a young adult, Charlene moved to Provo, Utah, where she attended Brigham Young University. It was there that she met her husband. They briefly lived in Purdue, Indiana, while he continued his college studies, where they began their family and eventually settling in California. Charlene made homes in Glendora, Lake Arrowhead, Redlands, and Loma Linda, each place blessed by her warm spirit.

Her faith in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints guided every chapter of her life. While living in Lake Arrowhead, Charlene faithfully served as Second Counselor in the Primary Presidency, where she oversaw Cub Scouts, then became Primary President. She also served as Sunday School Secretary. Her service was given quietly, faithfully, and with genuine love for the children and members she served.

Later in life, Charlene returned to Utah, settling in Bountiful, where she built a career as a Real Estate Agent. Her devotion to the gospel continued through her service as a temple worker at the Bountiful Utah Temple, a role she cherished deeply. She also developed a strong passion for genealogy, finding joy in connecting families across generations.

Charlene is survived by her beloved children Sherry, Ranelle, Vincent, Daryl, Tanya, Nickole, and Valoy, along with many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom was a source of great joy and pride.

Charlene’s life was defined by unconditional love. She was compassionate, patient, gentle, and endlessly kind. Those who knew her felt her warmth immediately and were drawn to her peaceful, loving spirit. She touched the hearts of family and friends alike, shining with a light that could not be matched.

She will be deeply missed, yet we rejoice in the knowledge that families are eternal. Heaven has truly gained a faithful servant and a beloved daughter of God—a true angel, now welcomed home.
