Caroline Jane Hansen

Caroline Jane Hansen ("Jane") was born on February 21, 1946, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to William and Grace Bennett. She passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Jane found great joy in caring for those around her. She loved to bake, and Christmas was especially memorable because family and friends knew they would receive one of her delicious homemade treats. She was also a talented seamstress who loved to make dresses for her daughters. Her sewing skills were remarkable, and one of her handcrafted women's blazers earned first place in a sewing competition.

Jane cherished time spent with her family. She enjoyed traveling and discovering new places with friends and family. When her children were young, many of their happiest memories were made camping and spending time in Utah's mountains, where she fostered a love of the outdoors and a deep love for family.Jane also had a special love for dogs, who were always an important part of her home and family.

Jane's secretarial skills led her through a variety of positions during her career, with the majority of her working years spent as an office assistant for the Salt Lake City School District where she retired. She was known for her dedication, kindness, and willingness to help others.

Her faith in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the foundation of her life. She was sealed to her beloved husband, Scott Hansen, in the Jordan River Temple for time and all eternity. Together they shared 47 wonderful years of marriage, building a home centered on faith, family, and service. Throughout her life, Jane served in many callings, including the Primary Presidency, Relief Society Presidency, Young Women's, and as both Ward and Stake Young Women's Camp Director. She loved serving others and demonstrated her testimony through her Christlike example.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Hansen, and by her parents.

She is survived by her children: JaNae Gundersen (Lowell), Jill Brian (Sean, deceased), Holly Hamm (Brad), Bard Hansen (Jonalynn), Megan Ashby (Timothy), Jared Hansen; her sister, Marilyn Robison (Robbie); 24 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.

Jane will be remembered for her fun-loving, charismatic spirit and her ability to bring people together. She loved playing games with family and friends, and her creativity showed through in everything she did. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved, and her warm smile, infectious laugh, and generous heart left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

We invite all who knew and loved Jane to join us in celebrating her life and honoring her memory. A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., followed by funeral services at 10:00 a.m. Both the viewing and funeral services will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah 84010.

Following the services, Jane will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
