Carole Ann Young Litz

September 17, 1932 — June 2, 2026

Centerville, UT

Carole was born in Pocatello, Idaho on September 17, 1932, to Alfred Lester Young and Mildred Keeler Young. She passed away at her home in Centerville on June 2, 2026, after her kind heart just gave out. She was the oldest of four children. She had two sisters Glenda and Dixie and one brother Edward. She spent her early years in Pocatello around extended family. Her family loved to camp, hunt and travel. She then moved with her family to Downey, Idaho, where she graduated from high school, where she was a cheerleader and played oboe in the band. She attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake. She met her husband Zan Litz at a dance in Downey and they were later married in Downey. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple.

Carole and Zan moved to Lewiston after Zan finished his military duty and raised their five children on the farm because they wanted their kids to learn how to work. They moved off the farm to Centerville in 1987. Mom was always up for an adventure and loved to travel, play games, listen to music, go to the theater and movies, and crocheting. She was always playing the radio and music and trying to interest her children in the things she loved. During ward parties in Lewiston she would often MC or entertain and always encouraged her children to participate. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings. She loved babies and small children, which we thought accounted for her having Jennifer when she was 40. She loved her family, her ward family, her neighbors and the dancing Grandmas from the Bountiful Senior Center. She loved performing with them and doing Tai Chi and Zumba. When she got ill her main goal was to feel well enough to go see her friends at the Senior Center.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Zan, sister Glenda and daughter Tonya.

She is survived by children, Denise (Bruce) Richards, Sue Zan Johnson, Kevin (Angel) Litz, and Jennifer (Mark) Madsen, and son-in-law Roy (Susie) Semmens and son from another mother Mori Nakaima, brother-in law Monte Bloxham, sister Dixie Barnes and brother Edward Young (Nadia), 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren,
