Carol Jean "Jeanne" Young Hauze

October 30, 1943 — July 19, 2022

Carol Jean Young Hauze “Jeanne” peacefully returned home to our Heavenly Father July 19, 2022. Jeanne was born October 30, 1943 in Los Angeles to William Leonard Young, and Beatrice Campbell – Young, and was the youngest of their two daughters. She attended Eagle Rock High School in Los Angeles, California and continued her education at Pasadena City College.

She married the love of her life, Dennis Robert Hauze November 25, 1972 in Tustin California. They were sealed together for time and eternity in the Los Angeles Temple February 16, 1974. Together Jeanne and Dennis were blessed to raise five children; Diana, Suzanne, David, Kevin and John. In 1998 they assumed care of their grandson with special needs, Bentley Robert Hauze. Raising Bentley became her calling in life, and she rejoiced in his accomplishments and milestones. While her service and sacrifice blessed Bentley’s life, she too was blessed for her life of dedicated service.

Jeanne has 15 Grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren who endearingly called her “Nana”.

She is preceded in death by her mother (Beatrice), Father (William), Sister (June), Mother and Father-in-law (Helen, Robert), Son-in-law (James) Great-granddaughter (Audrey), and Nephew (Greg).

Her life was distinguished by being a generous and loving Mother. Her love and concern for her children was seemingly endless and her desire to serve her family never diminished. She never shied away from hard work and was always painting the house, working in the yard, or cleaning a room. Her calling in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, as a Compassionate Service coordinator, suited her natural gift to serve others in need with love and compassion.

She was a free spirit and lover of the sun. She was a true California girl and enjoyed everything pool side, ocean side, and driving her convertible with the top down. Her favorite destination was Hawaii and she loved the smell of the flowers, the sound of the ocean, and sunsets on the beach. She was an avid reader and read more than five thousand books. She found joy in the successes of her family and never wanted to miss a recital, graduation, or wedding.

Throughout her life she became a faithful daughter of God and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In the final years of her life, she had an overwhelming desire to share her testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and express her faith in the plan our Savior has for each of us.

The family would like to thank the members of the Farmington Bay 1st Ward, neighbors, and friends who have showed love and given much service throughout the years.

A Funeral will be held August 6, 2022 11:00 a.m. at the Farmington Bay 1st Ward 14 Bonanza Road, Farmington, Utah 84025. Friends and family will gather from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
