Brock Shumway

Brock Shumway (38) passed quietly from this life on the morning of November 23, 2025. He was born in Orem, Utah and was the beloved son of Stephen and Kathleen Shumway. He married Ashley Beard on February 16, 2009 and they are the proud parents of Brooklyn and Zachary.

Brock grew up as a happy and energetic child. He had an amazing sense of humor and could turn most any situation into something to laugh about. He graduated from Davis High School along with many good friends. He had a love for many things, including his dogs. His best friend as a child was his dog, Hugo, and there are 3 dogs at home now who are missing him. He was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved his experience as a Boy Scout, where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He spent most of his working career in Property Management and claimed that he could fix just about anything. 

Brock was loved by those who knew him and proved on many occasions that he had an amazing heart. He loved his grandparents and helped with their care right up until their respective passings. He was adored by his children and he adored them equally. 

Brock is survived by his loving wife, Ashley, his parents, siblings Clayton (Amy) and Annie, his mother-in-law Judy Ann Beard, brothers-in-law Dan, Don, and Tyler, his nieces and nephew, and a broad gathering of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Following a private family viewing, Brock will be cremated.

A Celebration of Life will follow at a future date.
