Bradley Robert Riesenberg

Apr 4, 1974 — Aug 15, 2026

Bradley Robert Riesenberg peacefully left this mortal world on August 15, 2026, surrounded by his family after a valiant effort to overcome multisystem organ failure. Brad was born April 4, 1974, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Châli Burton and Robert Arthur Riesenberg. His older sister Jeni was so excited to have a playmate. From an early age, he was fascinated by anything with a motor and would race around on his bike calling himself "Cyco-man." Growing up, he loved and wanted to have all kinds of animals. When his younger brother Tyson was born, he got his lifelong best friend and partner in crime. They caused all kinds of trouble, most of which their mom still has no idea about.

During his school years he amassed an amazing number of friends-so many that we could never do justice trying to name them all here. You all know he loved you, and we are grateful for the outpouring of love you have all shown us! Tyson often commented on how he never met anyone that had a bad thing to say about his brother, and every friend he made seemed to be lifelong.

Brad got his GED while attending Snow College with Tyson, and their year together was full of adventures and the craziest stories.

Brad wandered through several career paths: mechanic, cook, river guide, brine shrimp fisherman, retail, and summer sales. But his love for the mountains and winter sports led him to a career as a snowmobile guide. After several seasons working as a guide, he and his brother fulfilled their boyhood dream of working together and started Backcountry Snowmobiling.

For 14 seasons, Brad guided, fixed snowmobiles, and, alongside his brother, did every other thing that a small businessman does to grow the company into a very successful business. It was a labor of love, and he was very good at it.

He never married but was the dad of three great black labs. Ziggy, Diva, and finally Junebug "June" were his family, and those dogs had the best lives. When June passed several months ago, it seemed Brad's heart broke both figuratively and literally; his health faltered soon after. He also had several cats, goats, reptiles, and fish over the years. He truly loved animals, and they were lucky to be his.

Brad was preceded in death by his three beloved dogs and his grandparents, Davey and Elaine Burton (known as Gan and Pompa), all of whom we are sure greeted his arrival in heaven. He is survived by his mother Châli (Tom) Wertz, father Robert (Gabriella) Riesenberg, sister Jeni (Nathan) Hall, brother Tyson (Brittany) Riesenberg, his nieces Brianna and Courtney, his nephews Connor, Travis, Owen and Jack, and his aunt Missi (Wayne) Roeber. As well as so many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends he loved and adored.

We are heartbroken to lose him like this. He will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate to know him. We are comforted to know his suffering has ended, and he is with our Father in Heaven, his family, and his dogs.

A celebration of life and a sharing of memories will be held at 2633 South 50 West in Bountiful, Utah, on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. The spreading of his ashes, along with his Junebug's ashes, will take place in private at a later date.
