Bonnie Faye Campbell

June 11, 1948 — March 12, 2026

Bonnie Faye Campbell, 77, died at home on March 12, 2026. She left behind a family and community who loved her deeply and will miss her dearly. Bonnie spent the majority of her life struggling with several health issues, but showed strength, love, and determination throughout it all.

Bonnie was truly a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman who had the rare gift of lighting up any room. She was kind, generous, caring, and always fun to be around. A woman who made people feel welcomed, seen, and appreciated simply by being herself. Bonnie carried herself with integrity, class, optimism, kindness, and grace. She was adamant to not leave the house without ensuring she was fully dressed from head to toe; including having her hair and nails done. Along with shoes, purse, and jewelry to match her outfit.

Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on June 11, 1948 to James Ray Stagner and Ida May Payne. She was the third of six children being raised in Bountiful, Utah by her mother and step father John Gross. She attended Bountiful High School for her sophomore and junior years. In 1966, she was a proud graduate of the very first graduating class of Viewmont High School.

Following graduation, she married the love of her life, Ross Campbell, on March 11, 1967 in Elko, Nevada. They lived in Centerville and Bountiful before they built a home in Farmington, Utah; where they have spent the past 55 years creating a beautiful life together. Just recently, they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary, still hand-in-hand. Together, they raised three amazing boys; caring for them with the same tenderness and attention she gave to everyone in her life. Bonnie loved to show off her boys to everyone she knew. Her family meant the world to her.

Bonnie worked at Wally’s Burger Bar, Jakes Glass, JC Penny, Internal Revenue Service, and Hill Air Force Base, retiring after 20 years of Federal Service.

Bonnie was a member of the Utah Bountiful ELKS Lodge 2442 since 1988. She started her lodge journey as a Lady of ELKS and then became the first female member in the State of Utah of the men's chapter. Holding various positions such as Chaplan, Inner Guard & Treasurer until she became the first female Exalted Ruler. Bonnie loved organizing and carrying out the Annual Hoop Shoot that provided scholarships for the youth participants, organizing the Sub for Santa events, and various holiday fund raisers. Her impact at the Lodge cannot be captured in words, and will be carried in the hearts and minds of all those that knew her.

Above all, she embodied the spirit of motherhood; filling her home with home-cooked meals, carefully sewn clothes, and constant care and devotion for her family. She developed a passion for sewing early in her life and loved to quilt and sew clothes for her family. She loved crafting, creating, painting ceramics, and arranging flowers. Bonnie loved to cook and can food for her family of growing men, while also sharing her candies and treats with neighbors and friends. She loved camping with her family. Together they spent hours in the peaceful mountains, bonding and enjoying each other's company, all while playing the card game, "Rummy." She was a room mother and scout mother, helping with multiple cake sale and pinewood derby events. She was a passionate Utah Jazz fan, especially when it came to Karl Malone and John Stockton. She loved to celebrate holidays and birthdays, and never missed a simple call, card or thought.

Bonnie loved anything with Carousel horses and had an extensive collection in various sizes that kept growing.

She is survived by her husband Ross, children Ross Jr (Jackie) Campbell of Donnely, ID, Terry (Tracy) Campbell of Farmington, UT and Boyd (RuthAnn) Campbell of West Point, UT, 10 Grandkids, 7 Great Grandkids, siblings John (Marie) Gross of Issaquah, WA, Jack Gross of Salt Lake City, UT and Mark (Lori) Knighton of West Haven, UT.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Sharlene Hansen and Carol Larson, and grandson Riley Campbell.

Spending time with her family meant everything to Bonnie. She was a devoted wife & mother, an incredible mother-in-law, a loving, proud grandmother, great grandmother, and loyal friend. The family would like to thank home health & hospice and many neighbors that loved and cared for Bonnie that have contributed their time, efforts, and prayers during this difficult season. A special thanks to Ilesha & Kiersten who helped with Bonnie's care for a number of years & formed a special relationship with Bonnie. It meant a great deal to her and still means a great deal to us.
