Bonita Louise Hoehne

January 31, 1946 — December 2, 2021

Bonita passed away unexpectedly at her home on December 2, 2021. Bonita was born in Long Beach, California on January 31, 1946 the first of 5 children born to Herbert Fred and Irene Hall Hoehne who were both stationed there in the United States Navy. She grew up in Bountiful, Utah and lived in the Emerson Ward in Salt Lake City for over 40 years. The family is grateful for the years of watch-care and service given to her by the wonderful members of her ward.
She attended Bountiful High, the University of Utah and the Bryman Institute graduating as a medical technologist. She worked as a Medical Technologist at the University Hospital, Primary Children’s Hospital and LDS Hospital for twenty-five years. She excelled at whatever she attempted to do.
Bonita loved her garden and planted her entire yard in lovely plantings. She loved all sports and followed her teams with enthusiasm. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she was an avid and skilled genealogist and helped many others in their research.
She was preceeded in death by her parents Herb and Irene Hoehne and is survived by her siblings, Olinda Hoehne Reynolds of Bountiful, Utah, Lucille Hoehne Mohlman of Tooele, Utah, David Hoehne of Centerville, Utah and Curtis Hoehne of Provo, Utah.
Although she never married she considered her nieces and nephews as her own and was a generous and loving aunt to them: Alaina Reynolds Fjeldsted, Kathryn Reynolds, Justin Reynolds, Matthew Mohlman, Anna Molgard, Andrew Mohlman, Bethany Olsen, Michael Mohlman, David K. Hoehne , Sarah Shafter, Aaron Hoehne, Jacob Hoehne, Heather Waegner, Joshua Hoehne, Jonathan Hoehne, Heidi Lundberg, Joseph Hoehne, Jeremiah Hoehne, Holly Wyckhoff.
She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
Interment will be in the Lakeview Memorial Estates in Bountiful, Utah.
