Bobby Joe Watters

September 2, 1956 — January 30, 2022

Bob died unexpectedly on January 30, 2022 in his home.

Around March of 1974 he met Sandra Lee Peterson and they soon fell in love. They dated for four years before they were married on March 25 of 1978. They would have celebrated 44 years of marriage this year.

Early on, he worked at the Golden Eagle Oil Refinery in Woods Cross, Utah. He then started work installing radiators in vehicles before he then moved on to working with injection molding machinery where he mastered his trade and soon became the go to guy with the setup, operation, and maintenance of the machines. Bob was often called upon by friends and family for various trade works as he was knowledgeable in many things. He could fix anything and would always be willing to help anybody in need.

The son of Ira Harris Watters and Thelma Howell Watters, he is survived by his siblings; the late Jim Watters, RL Watters, Wilma Lewis, Jenny Brockbank, Ira Watters, Shelly Carlisle, Roger Watters, Wanda Schouten, and Billy Watters. Surviving in addition to his wife are his son Matthew Joe Watters and his daughter Sara Allgood who is married to John Casey Allgood.

Bob retired in May of 2021 and made many plans to do more of the things that he loved which include fishing, camping, ATV riding, and shooting his guns. He loved to go treasure hunting with his metal detector around abandoned towns in Utah.

A service of remembrance will be held in February of 2022 for those who would like to come and remember the many ways that Bob brought great things to our lives and how he will be missed.

Memorial service information for Bob Watters will follow in the next couple of weeks.
