Blaine Craig Thalman

Blaine passed away on October 24, 2026, surrounded by family during a lengthy hospital stay.

Blaine Craig Thalman was born on June 26, 1957, in Richfield, Utah. He moved with his family to Bountiful, Utah, in 1961 and was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1965. He grew up in, and attended school in Bountiful, he played on the Millcreek Junior High football team and graduated from Bountiful High School in 1975.

Blaine was easy going and it was very pleasant for his family to be around him. Growing up, he enjoyed camping with his family, skiing with his brothers and friends, and watching and attending many football games. In high school, he enjoyed auto mechanics and rebuilt the engine for his Camaro.

Blaine met Kathleen O’Leary in 1993 and they later married and had many adventures together with their family.

He always liked horses and had his own horse, named Skunk, for a time. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles, his collection of remote controlled vehicles, rock music and was teaching himself to play guitar during the last few years. He also continued his passion for watching football games.

Blaine was very mechanically inclined. He trained and worked for years as a heating and air conditioning technician, and as an industrial mechanic technician for several manufacturing companies.

Blaine is survived by his wife Kathleen, his step children Brennon, Ashley and Kyle, his step granddaughter Milah, his daughter Lindsey, and his siblings Randy, Teresa, Glenn and Mike.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful and St. Marks Hospital in Millcreek for the care and support provided to Blaine.

We will be honoring Blaine with a viewing and graveside service on Saturday, October 31, 2026. The viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Russon Mortuary located at 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah. The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful City Cemetery located at 2224 South 200 West in Bountiful.
