Audreen Virginia Olsen Morris

August 24, 1932 — July 7, 2022

Audreen Virginia Olsen Morris was born on August 24, 1932, in Brigham City, Utah, and died peacefully in her home in Centerville, Utah, on July 7, 2022, at 89 years of age.

She is a beautiful daughter of Adolph Madsen Olsen and Afton Amy Hunsaker. She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1950 and attended the Thomas D. Dee Hospital School of Nursing in Ogden, Utah.

She married her first and only love, Jerry Arthur Morris on July 20, 1951, in the Logan Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After graduating in 1953, she became a registered nurse and worked at multiple hospitals throughout northern Utah, including a small stint at St. Mary’s in Duluth, Minnesota. She retired from Lakeview Hospital in 1997.

She was a support to her husband during his military service and college education. In 1960, they purchased a property and built their home in Centerville. She is the mother of six daughters, and grandmother to 26 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great, great-grandchild with 3 more on the way.

She was an active member of the church and loved teaching the gospel to the Blazer boys in Primary and the sisters in the Relief Society. She was a faithful visiting teacher and a 4-H leader who served many others in countless ways.

Through her example, her daughters learned valuable life skills and the importance of a good education. She served an 18-month mission alongside her husband in the Salt Lake Family and Church History mission from 2002 to 2003.

She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, reading, camping, and going on road trips, as well as hosting family and friends who became family at her “self-serve” home.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband and eternal companion Jerry. She leaves behind her brother, A. Ted (Margaret) Olsen, her sister Pamela (Jerry) Brenkmann, her sisters-in-law Janet Morris Williams and Liz Lee, her brother-in-law Chuck (Bonnie) Lee; her six daughters, Sheralyn (Joseph) Chaston, Michelle (Daniel) Zhou, Amy (Fred) Durtschi, Melinda Krahenbuhl, Marita (Geoffrey) Anderson, Emily Worthen, and her large posterity.

She was loved and cherished by all who knew her and will be deeply missed until we meet again. We would like to thank Dignity Hospice for their kindness, care, and compassion that helped create a safe and loving environment for our Mom.
