Audie was born on April 25th, 1967 and passed away on March 27th, 2023. Audie is survived by his parents Audun and Jeraldine Seljaas, his siblings: AnnaLisa Cliften (Peter Cliften), Shawn Seljaas & Michael Seljaas (Patrice Seljaas), his former wife Lesa Seljaas and their three daughters: Kacee Seljaas Richards (Chris Richards), Maranda Nielson (Christian Nielson) and Krista Seljaas. He was a son, brother and father. Audie was born and raised in Bountiful, Utah. Audie was a hard worker from an early age, he was an Eagle Scout and earned great grades throughout the entirety of his schooling. He was truly a jack of all trades. At one point, he was on a disco team, played piano, and played as a wide receiver and defensive back on the Bountiful High School football team. Audie was not known for being softspoken, he loved to laugh and was a bit of a prankster. Some of his fondest childhood memories included spending time boating and playing card games at Strawberry Resevoir with his siblings and parents. He graduated from Utah State University with his bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering Technology. He was an air traffic controller at the Federal Aviation Administration and eventually became an Airway Transportation Systems Specialist. Audie was an incredible father; he prioritized his children and strove to make their childhood magical. He was a well-known handyman and could fix just about anything, although his specialty was car mechanics. One of his biggest accomplishments was restoring his beloved red Porsche 911 with his father. Audie was a friend to all, he went above and beyond to help friends and strangers alike. His storytelling skills were impeccable and he had his fair share of wild adventures; according to Audie, he even turned down a fishing invitation from Kevin Costner while he was assisting on the set of Yellowstone. Audie had a soft spot in his heart for all creatures and was known to be accompanied by a four legged friend wherever his life took him. He passed his love of dogs along to his daughters. Throughout his life, he enjoyed being in nature and was particularly at peace on the river with a fishing rod in hand. He is loved and missed by his family and friends.
