Asher "Ashlynn" Isaac Brinton

Our beautiful Asher "Ashlynn" Isaac Brinton passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Born July 19, 2009, Ashlynn, 16 years old, was so loved by her family and friends and will be fiercely missed.

Ashlynn's strong will guided her to pave her own path in life and be her authentic self. She was loyal to her friends, an advocate for her fellow LGBTQ+ peers, and firm in the convictions and ideals she cared about.

As a true teenager, it often seemed as though Ashlynn merely tolerated being with her family, but we know she loved us. She was always willing to let Momma squeeze her "rubber cheeks," enjoyed watching movies and TV shows with Dad, and loved playing video games with siblings Finn and Jonah. Her friends were so important to her - she kept a tightly knit friend group from elementary school and made many new friends in junior high. Her unconditional love was reserved for our dog, Penny, whom Ashlynn let lick away at her salty skin to her doggy heart's content.

Ashlynn was looking forward to getting her license and always asked to drive to and from her job at Lagoon with Mom or Dad in tow. She aspired to become a mechanical engineer and worked hard in school toward that goal. She recently built her own computer setup from scratch and was interested in getting a 3D printer after enjoying that class this year in school. She loved the color red. She loved bucket hats. She loved the Spaghetti Factory.

She had a special affinity for moths: where others might be drawn to the beauty of butterflies, Ashlynn preferred the peculiarity and quirkiness of their fuzzy, little relatives.

Our hearts break at the loss of someone so special and full of potential. Words can't describe the pain we feel at losing Ashlynn before she was able to emerge from her own cocoon.

Ashlynn is survived by her parents, Jamie and Robert Brinton; her two siblings, Finn and Jonah; her maternal grandma, Barbara Rosengreen and paternal grandparents, W. Robert and Connie Brinton; her uncles and aunts, Jeff (Shauna) Rosengreen, Jenny Poulsen, Justin (Alicia) Rosengreen, Christina Brinton, Danny Brinton, Angela (James) Mack, and many loving cousins. She was proceeded in death by "Grandpa Buddy" G. Brent Rosengreen and uncle Chris Poulsen. She will live in our hearts and our memories always.

A viewing for Ashlynn will be held Friday, September 26, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary at 295 North Main Street in Bountiful. An additional viewing will be held Saturday, September 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the LDS Chapel at 1450 North Main Street in Centerville, followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m.
