Anne Marie Mickelson

Anne Marie Mickelson, 73, of Syracuse, Utah, passed away on 17 June, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Anne was born October 3, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Donald LeRoy Mickelson and Lucille Lougee Mickelson. She grew up in Farmington with her brother Robert and sister Carol. Anne graduated from Davis High School in 1969.

Anne married Joseph Cousins on March 6, 1972. Though the relationship was not permanent, they raised two boys together in a remote hand-built cabin in North Idaho.

Anne was a hard worker and often worked two jobs at a time. Anne worked many careers in her lifetime, but she is known for her years as a waitress where she excelled due to her strong work ethic and natural ability to talk to and relate to anyone.

Anne was a voracious reader and loved pop culture. She always knew who was popular in music, watched all the top movies, and enjoyed all the new TV shows. Anne loved her pets with multiple cats and an affinity for Chihuahua dogs.

Remaining to cherish Anne’s memory are her son Christopher Cousins and his spouse Briana, her son Stephen Cousins, grandchildren Chyah, Joseph, Kenny, and Daniel Cousins, and her sister Carol “Jeanie” Mickelson. Preceding Anne in death are parents Don and Lucille, and brother Robert.

A memorial service to celebrate Anne’s life will be held on Friday, June 20 at 11 AM, Farmington Rock Chapel. A viewing will be held just prior to the funeral service from 9:45-10:45 am at the same location.

Services will be streamed live on the Russon Mortuary Live Facebook page and on this obituary page. The live stream will begin 10-15 minutes prior to services and will be posted below.
