Andrew Michael Schroader

1989 ~ 2021

Andrew “Drew” Schroader passed away on November 14, 2021, at the age of 32 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident early Sunday morning in Downy, Idaho.

Drew was born on January 9, 1989 in Ogden, Utah. Drew spent his childhood in Syracuse, Utah. He played every sport possible and built lifetime relationships with his teammates.

Drew lived life to the fullest.  He loved everything and everyone. Drew had an innate ability to light up a room with his over-the-top personality, big smile, and bigger hug.  Drew’s passions included rooting for the Miami Dolphins, the Utah Utes, Utah Jazz, and the New York Yankees.  His free time was spent with his family enjoying snowboarding in the winter, and camping, ATVing and fishing in the summer.

In 2014 Drew had a beautiful daughter Andey Schroader, with Shelbey Ashby. Andey loved her daddy with all her heart, and he was her favorite person. Andey was the sparkle in Drew’s eyes, and he loved her more than anything in this world as he looked forward to every second he spent with her so he could teach her lifelong skills.

Drew was a fine craftsman and carpenter.  He moved to Idaho to start a framing business, Handy Andey’s, in 2018.  He was respected in his field and was known for his attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile to get a job done right.

While in Idaho he met a special girl, Jessilee who will always love him. He loved her and her kids Addyson and Kasen.

Drew loved a friendly wager, whether it be hoops in the backyard, belly flop contest with the kids in the pool, or race to the bottom of Dans Run on a powder day at Snowbasin.

He would take the shirt off his back and give it to anyone who needed it. Everyone who knew Drew, loved Drew.

He is survived by his daughter Andey Schroader, his parents Mike Schroader and Hollie Schroader (Brandon Lloyd), Sisters Amy Troyer-Sharf (Frank Sharf) and Kylee Schroader, his 3 nieces Adasyn, Ava, and Kayla, and his step-siblings Brittney and Brayden Lloyd.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Paul Adams, Fred and Elnor Lynn Schroader, Uncle Richard Schroader, and Cousins Benjamin Keifer and Maquelle Madsen.Funeral services will be held Saturday November 20, 2021 at 2:00 pm with a viewing prior from 12:45-1:45 pm which will be held at Russon Mortuary 1535 West 300 South, Syracuse Utah 84075.
