Allan Ceascear Jackson 1903-2009 Born to John Henry Jackson and Eva Mary LeDerman, in Nassau, Bahamas.
A man of diverse life experiences – one of 13 children; vaudeville entertainer; growing up in a Jewish household; worked as a waiter, delivery man, factory worker, railroad worker, cook, sandblaster/steam cleaner, 12 years in the US Army as cook and MP; 7 marriages; owner of hotel and nightclub; truck driver, construction worker, doorman, teacher, and friend.
He loved the Lord and scripture. His secret to a long life: &qoute;to love myself so I can love everyone else.&qoute; The twinkle in his eyes and his genuine laughter will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his 14 yr canine companion, Samson; 13 siblings; 40 children; 59 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 19 great great-grandchildren; 6 great, great, great-grandchildren; AND an &qoute;extended family&qoute; of friends.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday, November 6, 2009, 11am at the Rosepark Northpoint Ward 1460 North Morton Drive, Salt Lake City. Viewing prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. interment following at the Salt Lake City cemetery next to this father. Online condolences at www.russonmortuary.com
