AlDean Nalder Wixom Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandma, sister, and aunt passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family on March 20, 2023 at age 85.
AlDean was born Nov. 3rd 1937 to Howard Dale Nalder and Wanda Margaret Banford in Clinton, Utah. She was the oldest living daughter of five girls and an active member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. AlDean attended Davis County schools graduating from Davis high. She served a mission in southern California and served in the primary for many years.
She married her sweetheart David Leroy Wixom on April 11, 1970 and were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Ogden Temple. She was famous for her potato salad and chicken salad that she made for twenty years at Tom’s grocery store.
AlDean was proceeded in death by her loving parents, two sisters, and three great grandchildren.
She is survived by loving husband David Wixom, children Tammy Cevering, Mike (Janae), Margaret (Bob) Hamblin, Mitch (Sandy), 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren.
A special thanks to the cascade springs nursing team ( Trish, Amy, Robin), and to her ward family for all their love and support.
Funeral services will be held on Monday March 27th 2023 at 11:00 at the LDS church 2680 East Cherry Lane, Layton Utah. A morning viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 at the church. An evening viewing will be held Sunday March 26th from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Russon Mortuary 1585 W 300 S. Syracuse, Utah.
