Yvonne Hood Sluder

June 22, 1944 — August 6, 2022

Yvonne Hood Sluder passed away on August 6, 2022.

Yvonne and her husband Keith loved to dance and travel.  They danced their way throughout the United States.  Sharing their love for dancing, they opened for the annual street dance in Weiser, Idaho for five years.

She was an honored member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, always sharing all she knew with others, helping guide other members.  She served a full-time mission to Nova Scotia, Canada and she completed temple work for many deceased family members. She loved our Lord with all her heart.  She could not wait to be with her love again as well.

She was beautiful inside and out, she was so talented, she was a college graduate, and a model for years.  She could play many instruments beautifully.  She kept her home like Better Homes and Gardens, so amazingly put together.  She could fit 15 pounds of stuff in a 10 pound bucket with ease and grace and perfection.  Reminding you of the peace and tranquility of a Thomas Kinkade cottage.

She could calm you with a hug instantly and her smell was so pleasant you did not want to let go.  Even long after she walked through a room, or after a hug, or even when she held her grandbabies, her smell would linger.  There are no words to describe how powerful her beautiful scent was.

She was always there for her family and friends, and could run circles around anyone.  She was always busy, dressed elegantly, and always matched from head to toe.

She shared our family history through detailed, high spirited, warm hearted, fun-loving, well-mannered means, always with positivity and love.

She has helped raise five generations of children, leaving each one with something special to guide them through life.  She shared so many special moments with us all.  She will be missed and cherished forever, reminisced about always through many family photos and home videos.  She was and always has been the light of our lives, the glue that held us together.  She played cards with her great grandchildren often, taught them to read, schooled them young.

She loved to sing and play.  She was able to hold onto her inner child throughout many trials and tribulations in and throughout her life.  She was a fighter from birth, and held her beautiful, strong, smart, and amazing head high with class and civility, never losing her grace and dignity or mannerism.  We lost a beautiful soul, a piece of each of us.

Heaven has gained so much, now she is home where she is at peace truly happy and with the love of her life, her soul mate, her husband and granddaughter and other family.  We will miss and love you dearly, till we are all together again.  She lived for her family, and we will live on for her, as she lives on through us as our amazing and accomplished daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother.  We love and miss you always.
