Our beloved Mother and Grandmother joyfully joined her eternal companion on Father’s Day, June 15, 2008 at the age of 88 due to illness incident to age. She was born September 13, 1919, the youngest of 6 children, to David Bickmore and Clara Martha Sellers Kidd in Bluffdale, Utah. She graduated from Jordan High School. After her children were born, she attended the School of Nursing at Weber State College, graduating with an LPN degree. She married Hyrum Thomas Eggett, July 19, 1938 and the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 9, 1938. Our Mother was an active member of the LDS Church, where she held many positions and callings, including a mission to the Georgia Atlanta Mission. She was a hard worker and helped to support her family. She loved writing poetry, cooking, crocheting, bowling, camping, collecting salt and pepper shakers, dolls, spoons, and most all being with her family. Mom and Dad were the proud parents of 11 children: Clara Welsh, Lloyd Mary, Preston Deborah, JaLynn Bernie, Deborah Dan Koford, Martha Jay Smith, Juanita Richard Hales, Peggy Chris Nielsen, Brent Cathy, Brenda Carvel Izatt, and Hyrum Bickmore who died at birth. Her posterity also include 42 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Mom was preceded in death by her companion, Hyrum; all her siblings; and a great-granddaughter.
