Thelma Rae Smith Robinson

March 11, 1927 — December 19, 2020

Thelma Rae Smith Robinson of Bountiful, Utah, passed away at her home on December 19, 2020.  She was born in Oakley (Marion), Idaho on March 11, 1927, to John Shields Smith and Annie Loretta Nelson Smith.  She graduated from Oakley High School in 1945 and attended BYU for two years before her marriage to William B. Robinson on September 2, 1949, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Thelma loved to sing, beginning at a very young age.  She found great joy in singing with her barbershop quartet, the Classics, for 11 years.  Thelma served as secretary in Ward and Stake MIA, as counselor to four Primary presidents, as Ward Relief Society President, and as Ward chorister and Ward choir director for about 30 years.  She was thrilled to direct a Stake choir for the Bountiful Temple dedication.  Thelma and her husband served a mission at the Church College in Western Samoa, where she taught students to play the piano.  Her family was always a priority in her life.  People will remember her for her love and kindness and for her delicious homemade baked goods.

She is survived by her three children, Dean (Lyn) Robinson, Donna (Larry) Keeler, Sharon Ross (Brad Erickson), 14 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband William and her grandson, Cameron Ross.

The immediate family will have a short service prior to interment at the Bountiful City Cemetery on December 23, 2020.
