Stanley J Walker

May 7, 1931 — January 6, 2021

Stanley James Walker, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend quietly passed away on January 6, 2021 at his home in Syracuse, Utah. He was born on May 7, 1931 to E. Charles and Thora Burnett Walker in Syracuse. He was blessed with 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

He met the love of his life, Eula Gailey, also from Syracuse and were married in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on August 15, 1955. They spent over sixty years side by side and hand in hand as they raised their family and watched is it grow over the years. Together they had six children – Jan, Brian, Terry, Gail, Scott and Jill. He lived most of his life in Davis County except for a brief stint in St George, Utah.

He is survived by his six children – Jan (Scott) Symes, Brian (Linda) Walker, Terry (Kay) Walker, Gail (Frank) Volkert, Scott (Sue) Walker and Jill Walker; sisters Lawana and Joyce. He was preceded in death by his eternal companion Eula, parents E. Charles and Thora Walker, his brothers Wendel and John, sisters Lucy and Nedra, and granddaughter Amber Walker.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 13, 2021 at 1:00p.m. at Russon Mortuary located at 1585 W. 300 S. in Syracuse, Utah. Viewings will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday January 12, 2021 and from 11:45am-12:45pm on Wednesday January 13, 2021. Internment is at the Syracuse Utah City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Missionary or Humanitarian Fund.

Due to COVID, only family will attend in person, all others are asked to join by Facebook Live.
