Robert Lovelis

January 20, 1934 — January 1, 2022

Robert Lovelis of Salem, Utah passed peacefully on January 1, 2022 with his sweet wife Nancy by his side. He was born January 20, 1934 at home in Centrahoma, Oklahoma to Prentis McRae Lovelis and Lelie Verda Scott.

Robert graduated with the Class of 1951 from Whittier Union High School in Whittier, California and studied at Western Electronics Institute in Los Angeles, California. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War era from 1953-1957 as a crew member on a strategic bomber. He was an employee of Sperry/Univac/Unisys for 31 years as an electronic technician/QC Engineer/Manager.
On February 1, 1955 he married the love of his life Nancy Lee Richardson in the Baptist Church of Norwalk, California. They later joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and he and Nancy were sealed with their two daughters in the Salt Lake Temple. He served many callings in the LDS Church.

He is survived by his wife Nancy and daughters Deborah Louise Lewis (Vic) of Woodland Hills, UT and Cynthia Lee Hill of Royersford, PA., as well as nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Prentis and Lelie, his brothers William A., Prentis McRae Jr., and Arthur Carlon, his sister Christine, and Parents in-law, Arthur & Phoebe Richardson and his son, Stephan Jay Bown.

The Lovelis Family would like to Thank Suz, Andrea and Gracie with Aspen Ridge Hospice and all the Staff at Parkway Rehab.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Highline Ward, 1129 South 250 West, Salem, Utah, where a viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Friday morning 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be at the Salem City Cemetery, 979 South 130 East, Salem, Ut.
