Paul Adam Ellis

June 25, 1973 — July 16, 2021

Paul Adam Ellis, passed away July 16, 2021.

This tale is in loving memory of my best friend, my husband Paul. Paul was born on June 25, 1973, to Elmer and Sally Ellis. Paul wanted to make their anniversary extra special so he decided to come into the world on it.  Paul’s arrival brought their family of three to a family of four.  The family lived in Spain and Germany before moving to Utah.  They enjoyed camping and fishing. Paul learned to fly a plane in his teens.  He graduated from Layton High School in 1991. Paul worked at Lifetime Products where we met.  We were married on June 23, 1995, in Ogden, UT.  When we married Paul became not only my husband but dad to Sarah. We  would go on to have Danza in 1996, Gillian in 1998, and Tobias in 2004.  He became pops to Elliot in 2020 and gained bonus Opa status to Luna and Lydia.

In 1998 Paul had the great idea that we should apply for the post office and he was right.  He was hired on in Salt Lake City,  he was an active member of the NALC, he served as a shop steward and was the branches Health Benefits rep. From working in the post office Paul made some great friends that were more like family.  He and his friend Phil would brew beer together which gave rise to the CrackaBean Brewery. Their yearly Christmas beers were loved by many.

Paul was an amazing cook,  he didn’t need a recipe to make a meal that we enjoyed.  His linguini with calamari was one of the kids favorites and the dip he’d make for the Super Bowl parties was always a hit. When the extended family would gather for holidays it was always a good time from playing Volleyball to Farkle. He enjoyed camping,  traveling,  drinking beer, playing video games and Reeses peanut butter cups.

Paul is going to be missed by his kids,  grandkids,  parents,  his brother inlaws and sister inlaws, his brother and his seven nephews and five nieces and by me.

You’re loved and missed Paul!

Friends and family are invited to a visitation, Thursday, July 22, from 7-9 pm at Russon Mortuary, 1585 W 300 S Syracuse Utah.  It is casual dress.
