Norman C Bullock

September 30, 1930 — March 11, 2021

Norman Conrad Bullock passed away March 11, 2021 surrounded by his 6 children who loved him. Norman lived a good and fulfilling life. He was born in Taber, Alberta, Canada and grew up on a beet farm where he helped with chores as a boy and worked as a young man. In the late 1940’s, he attended BYU in Provo Utah before returning to Canada to study vocational courses at Calgary Tech, such as automotive, welding and design.

Norman married Betty Jensen in 1950 and started a family. He helped his father work the land until age 25 when he moved Betty and their 4 children to Northern Utah to start a new life and pursue his dreams away from the farm. The family expanded after the move to Utah as they had two more children.

Norm loved creating and building things like old cars, buildings, landscaping, and gardening. Nothing was ever too hard to try. He loved hard work and the feeling of accomplishment after completing his projects. When he did relax, he loved to go to car shows and work on his antique cars. He entered many of them into car show competitions and won a few awards.

When he would complete a project or goal he loved to sit back, have a nice cold drink, and admire what he had just accomplished. One of Norm’s biggest accomplishments was starting a towing business in 1969 with his wife Betty and their oldest son Parri. Norman finished his career with Bullock’s Towing at age 65 when he sold the business to Parri. Bullock’s towing is still in operation today and remains a great success. Norm was a wonderful provider for his family. He taught his kids good work ethics and the importance of honesty.

Norm was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Betty. Norm was a very loving caregiver to Betty for the last 8 years of her life that she spent confined to a wheelchair due to complications from a stroke.

Norm leaves behind a great family legacy and is survived by his sister Clair Heninger and his children: Parri Bullock (Ann), Lori Batchelor (Gary), Lynn Dobias, Ron Bullock (Kim), Jody Whittier (Allen), Bob Bullock (Jana), 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

With Sincere appreciation, the Bullock family would like to thank the Applegate Hospice Company staff. Especially Jan, for taking such good and professional care of our father.

Due to covid restrictions, a graveside service will be held for immediate family only.
