Mollie Smith

d. December 14, 2006

NORTH SALT LAKE-Our kind and loving mother, Mollie Bulmer Smith, passed away of natural causes on December 14, 2006. She was born November 9, 1919 in Skelton, England to John Henry Bulmer and Florence Annie Belton Bulmer. She married Frank Smith on June 30, 1940. They emigrated to the United States in 1953 with 4 young children. Two days after they arrived in Salt Lake City, they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Our mother joined the LDS Church as a teenager in England and lived a life of exemplary service to her fellow man. She could find something good about every situation and every person. She served a mission in England as a young wife during WWII and served a full time mission with her husband to the Family History Center and another full time mission to Florida after the death of her husband. Preceded in death by her husband and 5 grandchildren. Survived by daughters, Lesley John Jackman and Florianne Warren Koceja; sons, Michael Sandy; James Robert Bev, Peter; Charles Lita; and David Jamie; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brother, John Bulmer Evelyn and sister, Margaret Clayton Farmer of Canada. Our mother can now walk without pain and we know she is walking those fields of daffodils and bluebells in England that she missed so much. We rejoice that she has endured to the end. A special thank you to Chuck and Lita Smith for their loving care of our mother in the last months of her life, and to Vista Care Hospice, especially Erin. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 18, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Orchard 10th Ward Chapel, 55 East 350 North, North Salt Lake. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Monday morning from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery. To honor Mollie, donations can be made to the LDS Humanitarian Fund.
