Moliga Fulumua

May 21, 1943 — August 28, 2021

Moliga Solofuti Fulumua, 78, of Syracuse Utah, USA, passed away peacefully on August 27th, 2021 (Utah USA time) surrounded physically and witnessed virtually by her chidlren & posterity from afar. Moliga was born in Fagamalo, Savaii and grew up in Satoalepai Savaii, Samoa, a tiny village she left when moved to reside in Leufisa, Upolu, Samoa for better opportunities for her family. She was an educator, a school teacher by profession for over 30 years, enjoyed reading, writing, singing, composing songs and poetry and always loved journal- keeping.

Moliga also loved the Lord and her living years were spent in serving, loving, teaching, nurturing, sharing, giving, and living life in simplicity. She loved her children and everyone whom she brought under her wings and was the wind beneath their wings.Moliga is sorely missed and dearly remembered by her loved ones.

Moliga was predeceased by her father Solofuti Alatua Solofuti (Samoa), her mother Taapega Lealuga Solofuti(Samoa), her eternal spouse Falevalu Lupe Fulumu’a (Utah, USA), her brothers: Solofuti Alo Solofuti (Samoa), Faamoe Molimau Solofuti (Australia), Faataui Solofuti (Samoa), Solofuti Alatua Solofuti (NZ) and Utugia Uelese Solofuti (Australia). She had 2 brothers who died in their toddler years – Faataui & Uelese Solofuti. (SAMOA)

She is survived by her younger sisters: Polataivao Taeario Tiatia ( Samoa), Lote Eli (Samoa) Tagisia Faau (NZ); her children & grandchildren: Falevalu Fulumua (spouse Mala with children Noel, Jarom, April–Samoa), Lakena Tauiliili (spouse Paletai with son Paletai PJ–NZ), Utu Lavea (spouse Faaeteete with children: Joyce Loau (John), Fili Gagau(Ben), Rowena Lavea, Daniel Lavea, Taua Lavea (Jacklyn), Shantelle Lavea, FJ Lavea, Lupe Lavea–NZ),Tanielu Fulumua (spouse Christine with chn: Deanne & Tyron–NZ), Sarona Maiava (spouse Misi with children: Elvis, Alma, Lakena, Israel–USA), Utulei Fulumua-NZ, Tasi Fulumua–Samoa); her great-grandchildren: Cornelius Loau, Menime Rowshaelle Gagau, Jonyce Loau, Peniamina Jr Gagau, Utu Gagau, Jazmine Loau, Siuila Aiga Gagau.
