Mary Dearden

April 6, 1975 — December 3, 2021

Our devoted mother and wife, Mary Esther Dearden passed away December 3, 2021, at the age of 46.

She was born April 6, 1975, in Seattle, King County, Washington. Her parents are Celia Frank Tripp and Leonard Lee Tripp. She married Spencer Blaine Dearden in the Seattle LDS Temple, August 18, 1995.

Mary would dislike the idea of us writing an obituary because she never wanted any attention. But she would appreciate recognizing individuals, sharing some of her beliefs, and documenting important life events for family, friends, and future generations.

First and foremost, Mary loved her family. She had a brilliant mind, and acquired two Master’s Degrees in botany and education. Mary believed experiences were far more valuable than things. This included trying new foods, learning about distant cultures, laughing at clever dialogue, and improving your mind by learning new things.

Mary was extremely talented. She could play the piano beautifully, and had a keen understanding of music. Mary believed in making the world a better place by being kind to others, sharing ideas and coming up with solutions. She disliked violence and wished people could find common ground. She felt people should share with each other, laugh together, and love one another.

She is survived by her husband Spencer and their four children, Malachi Angel Dearden, Skylar Celana Dearden, Cael Isaac Dearden, and Levi Blaine Dearden. She is preceded in death by her father Leonard, and her brother-in-law Michael Barret.

Funeral Directors, Russon Mortuary, Farmington.
