Margaret Haacke

March 20, 1958 — June 30, 2021

Margaret was born to Richard Hatch Haacke and Erin Moss Haacke on March 20, 1958. She passed June 30, 2021 after complications from a spinal injury over 10 years earlier.

Margaret was preceded in death by both parents Richard Haacke and Erin Moss Connor and Husband Marvin Chambers. She is survived by step parents Bill Connor and Delores Chase. Siblings: Stanley Haacke (Shauna), Charles Haacke (Dona), Danielle Hood (Mitch), Gaylene Jensen (Bruce). Children: Son Jarred Richard Pehrson (Torri) Grandsons Alex Michael and Dylan Edward. Daughter Angel Robinson (Tyson) Grandsons Leonardo and Paulo Daniel. Son Eric James Pehrson (Lauryn). She is also survived by many friends, coworkers, recovery buddies, and caregivers who all came to love her.

Margaret had many jobs and interests and a great big laugh. She played guitar and piano, sang and played racquetball. She began working for the State of Utah as a receptionist while a single mother and student at Salt Lake Community College where she became a computer programmer in the early 80’s. She was an innovative programmer and data analyst. She became a great project manager and motivator and was an inspiring leader. Her meeting agendas were likely to be handed out with colorful pens to doodle with during the meeting to inspire and increase productivity. She retired from the State of Utah as the Director of Fleet. Her laughter and passion were heard loudly throughout the conference rooms and buildings where she worked and played.

After surviving her accident in Hawaii, she was challenged by many illnesses and hospitalizations over the years. She was such a light and a comfort to many people in whatever condition she found herself in. She was present and cheerful and wanted to connect and help others in their life struggles. If you knew her you were loved and inspired by her.
