Lynne Larsen Davidson

April 4, 1948 — July 8, 2021

Our loving Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma, Lynne Larsen Davidson passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends July 8, 2021 after nearly a three year battle with cancer. She was a wonderful, kind, and caring mother who loved all her family dearly and was blessed with many great friends that supported her throughout her life right up to the end.

Lynne was born April 4, 1948 in Salt Lake City, UT to Lloyd Deon Larsen and Alice Elizabeth Winkelman and was the oldest with two brothers who were also a great support to her and her family. She graduated from Skyline High School and attended the University of Utah until she married James Gordon Davidson and was blessed with three children whom she loved and devoted her life to. The love she had for her children continued to magnify for each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved each of them unconditionally. For many years she would have a special day once a month rotating between each of her 12 grandchildren. On this special day she would truly make them feel special, but her love and devotion to them was not limited to just this special day.

Lynne enjoyed the Tetons, theater, visiting, laughing, and anything that allowed her to be with those she loved. The only thing more important to Lynne than her family and friends was her faith in and love for her Savior Jesus Christ. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved to serve in the ward and in the temple. When asked about her opportunities to serve she would often talk about her opportunities to serve in the primary and young women’s even when she felt she was too old. She served in the Bountiful Temple until she started her fight with cancer. She truly loved others and serving them in any way!

We thank the great doctors, nurses, and other medical staff at Utah Cancer Specialists, Intermountain Home Care and Hospice, family, and her many friends who cared for our mom during her fight with cancer.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one great-granddaughter. She is survived by her brothers: Scott (Tina) Larsen, and Paul (Lynette) Larsen. Her three children: Roland (Heather) Davidson, Lisa Pierce, and Lloyd (Erin) Davidson. Her 13 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at Russon Mortuary, 1585 W 300 S, Syracuse, UT on Monday, July 12th from 6 – 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held, July 13th, at 11 AM at the Centerville Utah South Stake building, 900 S 400 E, Centerville, UT with a viewing just before from 9:45 – 10:45 AM.
