Lynn Ray Russell

July 30, 1943 — September 1, 2021

Lynn Russell was born July 30, 1943 in Los Angeles, California to Austin C and LaNola Rutherford Russell.  He passed away September 1, 2021 in his home in Kaysville, Davis County, Utah of natural causes.  He graduated from Granite High School 1962 where he participated in the Civil Air Patrol.  In April 25, 1965, Lynn joined the U.S. Navy and was released January 4, 1971.  He was stationed at Norfolk, Virginia on the USS Biddle DLG 34, crossing the equator four times.  He then worked at Hill Field Air Force Base on missiles and radar systems until he retired.   Lynn was very patriotic and proud of his service to the United States.   His hobbies were model cars, trucks, coin collecting, guns, working with plastics, wood, etc.  He is survived by one brother Neil (Janet); sister-in-law Earlene; nephews Adrian (Shaurice), (Nanette), Kale Russell, Jacob Case and Tyler Case; nieces Melinda Russell (Jim), Karen Drew (Brad); grandnieces Mikaela Zacharias, Roan Finicum, Stevie Russell, Kirstie Orton, grandnephews Lucas Russell, Bradlee Harle and Jayson Harle.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin C. and LaNola Rutherford Russell and brother Don.  The family wishes to thank those who helped Lynn in his last years with his medical, yard and housekeeping needs.
