Lueen Kaye Hatch

March 4, 1941 — September 28, 2021

Lueen Kaye Hatch, our “just peachy” mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family in Bountiful, UT on September 28, 2021. She completed her earthly journey here and is now moving towards her next chapter, ready to be reunited with her Aloving sailor. Lueen was born March 4th, 1941, in Salt Lake City, UT. daughter of Ell Roy Stonebraker and Fern Johnson Newman.

Lueen attended Bountiful High School, marrying her high school sweetheart, Jerry Max Hatch, on July 3rd, 1958. Later sealed for time and all eternity on July 3rd, 2007. They started their navy adventures together that took them to many places over 20 years. She proudly served as the President of the USS Midway’s Wives Club. After retirement, they returned with their family to make Bountiful, UT their final home. She worked over 25 years in many positions at ZCMI, including the furniture department, glassware/china dept. and a buyer for children’s and infant dept. She also worked at WCF for a few years in the customer service dept. She faithfully served in many church callings and gave service to all around her.

She was a beacon of light to all that knew her and scattered sunshine everywhere she went. She always gave a helping hand and enjoyed being there for others. The things she loved most in life were the gospel and family.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother, and husband. She is survived by her sisters, brother and three loving children-Randy Max Hatch (Gaye), Wendy Kaye Tennyson (Jeff), and Kristie Sue Bird (Don) -15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Our heartfelt thanks to Michelle Swenson, who made her feel pretty in pink and to Applegate Home & Hospice Care for their attentive care and services. With a special thanks to Debbie and Jennifer.

A viewing will be held at the Russon Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, UT  where friends may visit Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 4, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Bountiful 15th Ward, 1250 S Main Street, with a viewing prior from 9:45-10:45 am.  Interment-Brigham City Cemetery.
