Loving husband, father and grandpa, Lloyd passed away peacefully on Friday morning, 5/21/04, at the age of 83.

He was born on 2/22/21 to Arthur L. Peterson and Della M. Pyper in Standardville, Utah. After graduating from South High School, Lloyd attended the University of Utah and served an LDS mission in Northern California. He was a high priest and served on the Liberty Stake High Council for 15 years. Lloyd married the love of his life, Mayme Haycock, on 8/22/46 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He will be remembered for his passion of music, fishing, and golfing, and his ability to strike up a conversation in any setting.

Lloyd is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years Mayme, his brother Gail, his sons Larry Valerie, Scott Diana, Paul Annette; grandchildren Nikki, Alex, Amanda, Melissa Tim Beard, Matt and Wayne Adams, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother Glade.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the loving and compassionate care provided by the Christus St. Joseph Villa, with a special thanks to Pat and Guadalupe.

The viewing will be held at Russon Brothers Salt Lake Mortuary on Sunday, 5/23/04, from 6 to 8 pm, and prior to services at the ward on Monday, 5/24/04, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at Liberty Park Ward, 445 East Harvard Ave. at 11 am. The internment will be at the Herriman Cemetery 6000 West 12300 South. Directional maps and online guest book are available at www.russonmortuary.com.
