Leslie Lund Snow

April 18, 1951 — May 19, 2022

Leslie Lund Snow, a caring wife, mother, grandmother (“Noni”), sister, and friend. passed away on May 19, 2022 surrounded by family at the age of 71.

Leslie was born to Francis Lund and Joyce Halley on April 18, 1951 in Salt Lake City, UT. She was the middle of 7 children and remained close to her siblings throughout her life. She was raised in the Bountiful area and attended Viewmont High School where she enjoyed her time as a Student Body Secretary, graduating in 1969. After High School, Leslie attended Brigham Young University and worked at Jacob’s Lake in AZ and often spoke fondly of the adventures and friends she made during that time.

She then settled in Salt Lake City where she started her career in the District Attorney’s Office. It was during this time that she met the love of her life Ken Snow through mutual friends. They enjoyed many adventures together during this time including motorcycle rides and extravagant dates such as flying to LA to see their two favorite football teams play. Ken continued to make romantic gestures like this throughout their marriage. While Leslie was a caring wife that brightened up every day for Ken. Everyone around them could tell how much love they have for each other. They eventually married in Lake Tahoe on July 24, 1980.

Leslie and Ken settled down in Davis County and were blessed with two children, Jeffrey and Samantha. They raised their family in Bountiful and Fruit Heights, UT where they enjoyed the pleasure of meeting many great neighbors and friends along the way. Leslie loved being a Mother. And much of this time was spent enjoying her family and supporting her kids in their various activities, throwing memorable family and neighborhood swim parties, and serving her local wards.

After a 30-year long career working in various positions in the County Courts, where she made some of her best friends. Leslie was able to retire from the County Clerks Office and enjoy her time as a Grandmother (“Noni”) to her 3 Grandchildren Skyler, Zackery and Madilynn in which she shared a very close bond with. She enjoyed her time teaching them sew, volunteering at their schools, helping with homework and many enjoyable nights around the dinner table sharing meals and playing games.

Leslie became passionate about quilting and sewing in retirement. Spending much of her time in her sewing room working away on various projects or at the local quilting shop learning and socializing with friends. Retirement also gave her the opportunity to spend more time with family taking much wanted vacations with her Husband and family to places such as Alaska, San Diego and Disneyland that built lasting memories. While also getting to have weekly dates with Mother Joyce.

But above all else Leslie was known for her infectious laugh, kind heart and compassion. She was truly a good friend, Sister, Mother, Noni and Wife who often looked after the needs of others. She was a caretaker, great storyteller and had a knack for giving everyone the giggles. She was truly loved and will be greatly missed.

Leslie is preceded in death by her father Francis Lund, Sisters Lisa Lund and Stacey McKnight and Brother-in-Law Paul Forsberg. She is survived by her husband Kenneth (Ken) Boren Snow Jr., children Jeffrey James Snow (Estelle), Samantha Snow, and Grandchildren, Skyler Snow, Zackery Snow, Madilynn Snow, Mother Joyce Thomas, siblings Gary Lund (M’Jean), Laurie Lund (Robert), Marsha Forsberg and Mindy Starley (Scott).
