Leora Sagers Bagshaw

August 19, 1932 — November 30, 2021

Our mom was taken from us five years ago due to dementia, but she returned to the arms of her Heavenly Father November 30, 2021 while surrounded by her loving family.

Leora Sagers was born in Tooele, Utah on August 19, 1932 to Elmer and Vera Sagers.

She loved riding horses with her cousins as a young girl. She attended school in St. John and Tooele. She graduated from Tooele High School in 1950. She worked at the Tooele Army depot.

She married Bobbie Bagshaw in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 29, 1952 before he left to serve in the Air Force. On December 28, 1953, they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and eternity. As a family, they loved fishing, camping, and waterskiing. Mom and Dad golfed together—in fact, mom got a-hole-in-one before Dad! They were one month short of being married 69 years.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions.

Leora is survived by her loving husband, Bob, her four children, Vicki (Greg) Hutchins of Centerville, Dixie (Dave) Ferguson of St. George, Kaye Benard of North Salt Lake, and Kent (Kris) Bagshaw of Centerville. She and Bob also have 16 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren with two more on the way!

She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Vera Sagers, brothers and sisters Lavar Sagers, Clinton Sagers, Arlene Russel, and Ray Sagers. She is survived by her sister Eloree Walters.

We want to thank Abby, Jasmine, and Lisa for the love, kindness, and friendship they showed to us and especially to our Dad. They were so willing to help us at anytime, and took such special care of our Mom. We are so grateful for them.

We also need to thank our Dad for taking such good care of Mom the last 5 years. It wasn’t easy at 90 years old, but he treated her with love and respect until the end.

We love you Mom! Until we meet again.

At Leora’s requests, private family services will be held.
