In his youth, Goff excelled at any sport he was involved with such as boxing, wrestling and golfing. He served an L.D.S. mission in Mexico and the Northern Pacific. He later met and then married his sweetheart, LaMyra Baird, at the Salt Lake Temple on November 14, 1940. His lifelong interest was in the field of art and had a great love for all of Heavenly Father?s beautiful creations. Goff graduated from the Washington School of Art. He then taught art at several different institutions along with instructing many students out of his home over the past several years. He worked in commercial art and advertising and assisted the L.D.S. Church with a variety of magazines and other projects. Many of his paintings are displayed in several homes, churches and businesses. Two pieces of his work were etched into a monument and can be found placed in the midst of a garden in front of the Bountiful Post Office and have been enjoyed by all those who pass by. His life has touched many hearts throughout the years. Goff served in different capacities throughout his membership in the L.D.S. Church including working in Name Extraction for about 20 years. He was known to lend a helping hand to those in need in any way he could. His sense of humor and enjoyment of ?punning? have created smiles and provided an atmosphere of happiness. Getting together with family and friends for games, fun and feasting was something he always cherished. Memories of these fun times were always held close to his heart. Goff was known as a gentle, kind and loving man, husband, father and grandfather. His presence and good example will be greatly missed by all of those who knew him.
