Kathleen Winegar Craven

June 14, 1943 — November 16, 2021

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend returned peacefully to her heavenly home on Tuesday, November 16th. She will be missed more than words can convey.

Kathleen was born on June 14th, 1943, in Woods Cross, Utah to Alvin Kenneth Winegar and Bernice Lorene Gold. She loved her parents immensely and adored her siblings. She learned the value of family at a young age and often spoke fondly of her childhood.

She was sealed to Robert Milton Craven in the Salt Lake Temple on March 10, 1967, the beginning of their eternal marriage. Their life together was full of love, laughter, faith, and a few tears. They built a successful business together. They lived and raised their four children in Bountiful, Utah.

She lived a life of love, faith, and service. Kathleen’s greatest treasure is her family. She loved being with them whether at home or on family vacations. She loved nature, especially being at the ocean looking for sand dollars and seashells with her kids and grandkids. Kathleen also loved to fish, metal detect, and play games. She was always up for an adventure and was a master at creating good memories. She was loving and generous to everyone and loved to do kind things for others. She was compassionate and mourned with those that mourned and comforted those in need of comfort. She is beautiful in every way.

In her youth, she developed a strong testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Kathleen is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She is loved by everyone that met her because she reflects Christ’s love.

She was always so thankful for her eternal family, for the knowledge and promises of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and for the beauty of God’s creations. She will be forever in our hearts, until we meet again.

Kathleen is survived by her husband Robert, her children Brian, Becky Watson (Tom), Brett (Shelly), Tammy Shelton, (William), nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, her sister Marjory Moss (De Vor), and brother Wayne Winegar (Mary).

The family would like to express their love and gratitude to the staff of Inspiration Home Health and Hospice for their loving and tender care that they have given Kathleen the last eight months, especially Alisha Richins, FNP-BC, Dee Crowton, RN, Shannon McGuire, PT, and Tiffany Skelton, Chaplain. They are true angels among us.
