Judith Ann Whitaker Eriksson

July 30, 1941 — January 23, 2022

Our beloved Judy, who means so much to all of us, has returned home to her Father in Heaven. She will be deeply missed.

Judy grew up in Kaysville and graduated from Davis High School.  She attended Utah State University, where she earned an education degree in home economics.  She loved young people and dedicated much of her life to teaching.  Whether it was cooking, sewing, or reading for junior high students, badge requirements for boy scouts, or countless 4-H groups, Judy taught with Christ-like patience and love.

Judy cherished every opportunity to worship and serve in the Lord’s kingdom.  From serving as an ordinance worker in the Bountiful temple to teaching gospel classes at the Farmington jail, she brought the spirit wherever she went.  She also served as a Relief Society president and had numerous other callings throughout her 80 years.

Her family was her pride and joy and she considered tending to them her most important calling.  She selflessly served neighbors and friends and left everyone around her better for having known her.

Judy is survived by her husband Bob Eriksson, six siblings – Sandy (George) Blamires, Jean (Phil) Gowans, Marie (Rich) Stevenson, Cathy (LaVon) Turnbow, Dave (Carla) Whitaker, and Carri (Jon) Green, five children – Brenda Holmes, Russ (Stefanie) Holmes, Stan (Jill) Holmes, Debbie Mitchell, and Steven Holmes, five stepchildren – Michelle (James) Karrick, Danny (Becky) Eriksson, Paul (Amber) Eriksson, Heather (Eric) Sohl, and Brandon (Heidi) Eriksson, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Olene Stohl Whitaker and Wilma Allan Whitaker, two brothers – Norm (Ann) Whitaker and Kent (Jan) Whitaker, and two grandchildren – Daxton Holmes and Sarah Holmes.

Funeral services will be held Saturday January 29, 2022 at the Rock Chapel, 25 S 200 E, Kaysville, at 11:00 am.  Viewing at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 N Main Street, Farmington, on Friday January 28 from 6:00 -8:00 pm and at the Rock Chapel on Saturday from 9:45 – 10:45 am prior to services.  Interment at Farmington Cemetery, 500 S 200 E, Farmington.
