Joyce Smith Barber

Joyce Smith Barber, 81, of West Haven, Utah passed away October 19, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by family. Joyce was born May 27, 1940, in Farmington, Utah to Henry Giles Smith and Dora Hadley Smith.

Joyce was a wonderful mother and grandmother who deeply cared for family and friends. She devoted much of her time to genealogy. She loved her dog Tiki.

Joyce is survived by her daughters Beatrice Boyd, Laura (Bill) Dunning and Lorelei (Todd) Schenck; her longtime friend and roommate Lou Kay; two grandchildren Reed Dunning and Tayla Dunning; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her 4 brothers Glen, Don, Harry, Dean, and sister Dorene.

Joyce graduated from Davis High School in 1958.  She spent much of her younger years working at Lagoon before working and later retiring as a computer programmer at Hill Air Force Base. She had 35 years of government service.

We would like to thank Inspiration Home Health and Hospice for their excellent care, especially Tiffany, Jayme, Becky, and many others.

In lieu of flowers, Joyce requested donations to your favorite charity in her name.

A viewing will be held Friday, November 5, 2021, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 North Main Street, Farmington, Utah.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 11:00am at the Farmington Cemetery, 500 South 200 East, Farmington, Utah.
