Jeffrey Grant Miles

April 1, 1954 — September 28, 2021

Jeffrey Grant Miles, 67, passed away surrounded by his family on September 28, 2021, from complications due to COVID. He left this life peacefully after hearing his loved ones sing together at his bedside.

Jeff was born on April 1, 1954, to Ralph Dee Miles and Sharon Lorraine King. He was the oldest of 8 children and had a wonderful childhood growing up in Hooper UT. He graduated from Roy High School in 1972 and served an honorable LDS mission to Brisbane, Australia from 1973 to 1975. Shortly after returning home, he married his eternal sweetheart Debra Kaye Fielding in the Ogden UT temple on September 24, 1975.

Jeff had a passion for life. His highest priorities were spending time with his family and serving Heavenly Father. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he faithfully served in many ward and stake callings. He loved to spread the gospel, especially when teaching the youth, and was always a missionary. He regularly attended the temple to worship and could be found every Sunday afternoon advocating for his ancestors through genealogy work. As the inspired leader of our family, he was the epitome of integrity and kindness.

During his professional career, he helped revolutionize the financial services industry with over 4 decades of leadership. In recent years, he was also passionate about building a family business revolving around ecommerce. He was a mentor to many and placed importance on cultivating meaningful relationships with people.

Jeff loved all of God’s creations. He could often be found enjoying the outdoors playing basketball, golfing, and fly fishing. He had great experiences traveling the world with Debbie, his family, and friends. He loved watching Utah Jazz and BYU games and cheering for his grandkids in all their activities.

Jeff is survived by his wife Debbie, their 5 sons Ryan (Heather) North Ogden, UT; Trent (Angela) Mission Viejo, CA; Jason, North Ogden, UT; Mike (Nina) Providence, UT; Shawn (Melissa) Providence, UT; 15 grandchildren who adored him- Libbie, Kelly, Corbin, Bryce, Brooklyn, Jed, Carson, Lexi, Bode, Charlotte, Elliot, Oliver, Jared, Evelyn and Ezra; and his 7 brothers and sisters Robb (Susan), Kirk (Loraine), Tami Ropelato, Kristi Boyer, Craig (Lauralee), Brad (Crystal), and Kim Beus (Shawn). He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph & Sharon Miles, his in-laws Bill & RaNae Fielding, his brothers-in-law Brent Ropelato & Brad Fielding, and his niece Brielle Beus.
