J. Daniel Royall passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 9, 2004 in Bountiful, Utah. He was born in SLC, Utah on March 9, 1915 to Joseph Lucian Royall and Elvina Hazel Rowe. He was the third of seven children. Dad married his high school sweetheart, Helen Irvine Steele on September 17, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They are the parents of three children, Barbara James Batchelor, Pat Arlin, deceased Casperson, and Dan Connie Royall. Dad retired from Mtn. Bell Telephone Company after 42 years of service. Dad took pride in his homes, yards, and cars. In his younger years he helped his father with painting and wall papering. He used these talents in his different homes and friends homes. He was willing and happy to do anything for his family. Dad was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed singing in the ward choirs. Dad was preceded in death by his parents, older brother Stephen, younger sister Betty Jean, son-in-law Arlin Casperson and great-grandson Conor James Batchelor. He is survived by his wife Helen, children, sisters, Elvie Leary and Hazel Vaughn, and brothers, Paul F. Royall and Joseph L. Royall, Jr. Dad?s legacy of honesty, hard work, reliability and determination will continue in the lives of his twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Greg Barlow and staff of Country Care, Sharon Christensen and staff at Rocky Mtn. Hospice, and Nate Boswell and staff at Bountiful House for their kind and exceptional care.The family requests in lieu of flowers, that contributions be made to the Primary Children?s Medical Center Neonatal Unit, 100 North Medical Drive, SLC, Utah 84113. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 13, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main where friends may call from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
