Irene Marian Hayden Kinder 1919-2008

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Irene Kinder, returned home to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 4, 2008. She was born on a snowy winter day, January 14, 1919 in Hunter, Utah to Alfred Alonzo Hayden and Annie Marian Smith Hayden. She married Eddie Kinder on April 22, 1939. Together they raised five children. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Irene enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, and she made many beautiful quilts. She loved roses, jewelry, and anything pink. But most of all Irene loved going to the dances. She loved to dance! She was preceded in death by many of her loved ones, including her parents, her husband Eddie, her son Kenneth, a brother Doran, a sister June, and a grandson Jeffrey. She is survived by her children, Ed Paula, Dennis Becky, Darrell Nancy, Peggy Lance Gyldenege, and daughter-in-law Janet Kinder; 24 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Also survived by a brother, Alan Hayden and sisters, Faye Chapman, Iris Middleton, Ardella Heugly, Carol Spieker, Glenda Davis, and Joan Hendrickson. Thank you to those who gave loving care at the Legacy House of Taylorsville, and especially to Julie from Haven Hospice. There will be a viewing Wednesday, October 8th from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Westland 2nd Ward Chapel, 7171 South 2700 West, West Jordan, Utah, where friends and family are invited to visit from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm prior to the services. Burial will be in Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Online guestbook at www.russonmortuary.com
