Heidi Haugen Eddards

December 29, 1981 — May 29, 2022

Heidi Haugen Eddards was visiting Utah to celebrate her daughter’s graduation. On May 29, 2022, while driving home to New York, she unexpectedly passed away.

Heidi was born to James and Diane Haugen on December 29, 1981. She grew up the youngest of five siblings and became the tenth child of thirteen blended siblings as the family grew in love and numbers.

She spent most of her life in Utah, though she got to enjoy and fall in love with New York when she attended and graduated high school in 2000 at Paul V. Moore High School. She moved back to Utah and attended Weber State University where she received her associate degree. Shortly after graduating she started working as a Lab Technician for Oswego Hospital.

From her marriage to Bryant Eddards, she had two beautiful daughters, Taya and Mara Eddards. Heidi’s girls are her pride and joy. There wasn’t a single conversation with Heidi where she didn’t mention how much she loved and adored her girls.

Another great love of Heidi’s were her dogs. She always had animals that she loved and cherished. She would frequently talk about her animals and animals that she wished to have.

Heidi was preceded in death by her grandparents, Doris and William (Bill) Haugen, Daniel and Sydell Goldstein Furtaw, her brother Leroy Montgomery, her brothers-in-law Robert (Bobby) Johnson, and Jeffery (Jeff) Kelsey and her Aunt Julia Haugen.

She is survived by her daughters Taya and Mara Eddards, her parents James and Fran Haugen, and Diane Haugen. Her brothers and sisters and their spouses, Scott Montgomery, Pamilia Campbell, Kelly Montgomery, Peggy Montgomery, Kevin Haugen, James Montgomery, Lauralyn (David) Forthman, Penny (David) Ladd, Janet Haugen (Eddie) Trejo, Adrian Haugen, and Julian Haugen. She is also survived by twenty-four nieces and nephews, and one great-niece and two great-nephews as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She will be greatly missed by all the family and friends that loved her dearly.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Farmington City Cemetery.  A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 A.M. prior to services at Russon Mortuary & Crematory, 1941 North Main, Farmington, Utah.
